Welcome from the Manager
It is with a deep sense of pride and joy, that we as team Wellington warmly extend our hands in welcoming all Zimbabweans from around New Zealand, to celebrate a sporting extravaganza, that is indeed true to our social and cultural ethos. Wellington is a truly cosmopolitan city and its ambience, second to none.
I urge our community to open up their homes to the multitude of visitors that will descend on our city, share accommodation, food, drink and all the rich cultural heritage and languages in a truly Zimbabwean fashion. As we may all know, the main objectives of this Tournament and others before it, is basically to foster better relationship as a people, break the physical geographic barriers that separate many a Zimbabwean between the two Islands, to share our settling in experiences in New Zealand and provide a reason to holiday and indulge in the lovely splendour of various precincts of this country, hence the tournament's rotation policy.
I therefore call upon our community to rally behind this vision and help promote our objectives. The teams will need all your support and I’m confident we can deliver a top class tournament. Thus I say let the games begin and be played in the spirit of friendship and fair play, after all we are all winners.
Hope to see you all.

Thank you for Saturday night's programme, just 1 question- The Skip man is getting an hour of the programme, why so long?might spoil the mood for the out of towners who dont know what its all about.
Dear anonymous,
Since SKIP is sponsoring the venue they have asked for air time in return. I agree that 1hr is a bit long and might drive the visitors mad but I appreciate that Mr Kunaka has an obligation to SKIP that he is using the money for a good cause. Either we accept his sponsorship and his spil or say no to both!
The tournament is a fortnight away, have all the teams listed in the programme confirmed their participation? My main worry is the boys from Akld, am sure the Wellington manager is familiar with their record when it comes to travelling!
The programme looks cool except the Skip part. Do we really have to do that on this particular day. Its sounds rather boaring. Anyway on a second note, we will just skip the Skip programme and come yapera.
